Location of Karimunjawa Island?
Karimunjawa Island is included in the administration in Jepara Regency, Central Java Province. Jepara is a regency city located about 80 km from the city of Semarang, the capital of Central Java province.
How to Access to Karimunjawa?

From Semarang
If you want to visit Karimunjawa from Semarang there are 2 ships that serve there, the first is the Kartini Fast ship and the second is the Pelni Ship.
The Kartini Fast Ship is a fast boat owned by the Central Java provincial government and can accommodate as many as about 200 passengers, while the Pelni ship is operated by Pelni, usually using the Kelimutu ship and sailing to Karimunjawa every 2 weeks once on Friday.
Apart from using ships, Karimunjawa can also be accessed from Semarang by plane. The airline that serves the Semarang-Karimunjawa route is Wings Air, one of the flights belonging to Lion Air Grups.

From Jepara
Jepara to Karimunjawa, Jepara is one of the regencies on the north coast of the island of Java, about 80KM from Semarang and you can go to Jepara from Semarang by car or bis.
From Jepara, there are 2 ships serving routes to Karimunjawa, namely the Fast Kilat Bahari ship and the Siginjai ferry. Maritime kilat ships only take 2 hours to arrive at Karimunjawa from Jepara, unlike the ferry which takes 5 hours to sail to Karimunjawa.
The ferry also carries vehicles belonging to local residents and goods for the needs of the Karimunjawa community, during the trip on this ship you can chat with local residents or rest while enjoying the beauty of the sea, if you are lucky you can find dolphins around the ship on a trip to Karimunjawa.
From Jakarta
If you are from Jakarta, you have to go to Jepara or Semarang, you can take a plane, bis or train to Semarang, while Jepara only has buses because Jepara does not have an airport or train station, then use the transportation you choose from Semarang or Jepara.
From Surabaya
Surabaya is the largest city in East Java, so there are many transportation routes to Semarang or Jepara, there are also planes that go to Semarang every day.
From Bali
Bali is indeed the best place to travel, but Karimunjawa can add to your pengalaman on vacation, if you are from Bali you can use a bis or plane to Semarang, there are several airlines such as Garuda Indonesia and Wings Air that serve the Denpasar – Semarang route.
You can also go to Surabaya first by plane then go to Semarang or Jepara by bis so that the costs needed are not too much, you can also setop by at Mount Bromo before heading to Karimunjawa.

Best Time to Visit
